KT-107 Reflector Specifications – K-Lite Median Barrier Reflector Unit

This document provides the full specifications and design details of the K-Lite KT-107 Reflector Unit, designed for use on median barriers and roadside applications where enhanced night-time visibility is essential.

The KT-107 is a custom-assembled reflector featuring:

• A plastic retroreflective lens (red), shaped in a trapezium format

• Mounted to a hot-dip galvanised steel base plate (1.6mm thick, SABS 1461 compliant)

• Integrated Class 1 engineering-grade reflective tape (white), bonded with pressure-sensitive adhesive

• Fastened with 4.8mm × 8mm commercial-grade aluminium pop rivets

The unit is engineered to ensure high photometric reflectivity with a minimum brightness rating of ≥ 600 mcd/lux, enhancing visibility in low-light and high-speed conditions.

All fabrication processes (including plate bending and hole punching) are done prior to galvanisation, ensuring that the zinc coating is fully intact after manufacture. The unit is durable, weather-resistant, and optimized for high-impact environments.
